We only got in one short visit to the Chattanooga Zoo and that was mainly to check out the repairs to my DLSR that broke in Nashville.
I actually got lost in the Coyote who was very active and getting into posing mostly on the rock. I found a good place to sit and watch and click. Coyotes are very social animals and it was fascinating to watch the range of expressions on her face. I still have over 150 photographs because I just can't decide which of her looks were the best.
After spending so much time with the coyote I could only cruse through the rest of the zoo and get a few snapshots. The Deer and Turkey are in a wonderful pose if I just cut them out of the ZOO background and paste them into an open field. The peacock was not in the mood for a display like the one in the Jackson Zoo.
Unfortunately photography is not compatible with multitasking. While I was engrossed with the coyote the Snow Leopard was actively bounding around her enclosure. Normally and especially on warmer days they are curled up on one of the higher rocks with only a tail or nose visible. Seeing her so active was a rare treat despite the obvious ZOO background. The Chattannooga Zoo is very photographer friendly and built a glass front on the enclosure that was not even scratched up or covered with dirty paw prints. I really do need to make a return visit when we get the chance if only to explore some of the other exhibits.
